8th Woodstock Film Festival

Since today I’m in a New York mood let me share with you some information about another NY film festival that was held from October 10 to the 14, 2007. This festival describes itself as “fiercely independent” and like a famous concert that happened many years ago is held in Woodstock and neighboring towns of Rhinebeck, Hunter and Rosendale. These are the winners.

Honorary Maverick Award: Christine Vachon
Honorary TrailBlazer Award: Ted Sarandos
Maverick Award for Best Feature Narrative: AUGUST EVENING by Chris Eska
Audience Award winner for Narrative Feature: THE LIVING WAKE by Sol Tryon
Best Editing for a feature narrative: IN SEARCH OF A MIDNIGHT KISS by Alex Holdridge

Because in this festival there were some not common movies I’m listing all the Narrative Features that were shown.

3 Americas, Cristina Kotz Cornejo, USA and Argentina, 2007
American Fork, Chris Bowman, USA, 2007

As I’m a sixties/seventies consequence (he he) I’m sharing with you the official poster of this festival done by Peter Max… gee, I still remember I was crazy about his work when I was a very, very young! Okay, someone just told me to write here that I attended Woodstock -the concert-... but as many if not all that were there most of the time I was not that conscious, so I tend to forget about it. lol!
