2009 Evening Standard British Film Awards Winners


Yesterday the awards were announced and to check the official news go here. Winners are in Red.

These Awards are considered one of the most prestigious film awards in the UK along with the BIFTAs and the BAFTAs. British newspaper Evening Standard gives the awards and the jury has five critics’ two from the Evening Standard, one from the Daily Telegraph, one from The Times and the last from The Guardian. These are the nominees.

Chris Waitt, documentarist of A Complete History of My Sexual Failures

The awards are quite remarkable as Slumdog Millionaire did not win any awards and you know what I think about this movie winning major awards... perhaps BAFTA results could surprise many now.
