Best Actress in a Leading Role: Sofia Ledarp for her role as Lena in To Love Someone/ Den man älskar
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Michael Segerström for his role as Bernhard in Darling
Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Bibi Andersson for her role as mother Rikissa in Arn: The Knight Templar/ Arn: Tempelriddaren
Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Hassan Brijany for his role as Halim's dad in One Eye Red/ Ett öga rött
Best Screenplay: Roy Andersson for his script for You, the Living/ Du levande
Best Cinematography: Geir Hartly Andreassen for his cinematography in Darling
Best Foreign Language Film: This is England by Shane Meadows, UK

The Board of the Swedish Film Institute has also made the following awards:
Lifetime Achievement Award: Actor Gösta Ekman
The Gullspira Award 2008: Ulf Stark for an achievement characterized of deep respect for children - and confused adults.

The Audience Award: Arn: the Knight Templar/ Arn - Tempelriddaren by Peter Flinth
