19th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival News

The full line-up of films and events will be announced on December 23rd and the festival will be held from January 3 to 14, 2008; but I wanted to share with you some awards that will be handled.

Desert Palm Achievement Award: Halle Berry
Patron of the Arts Award: Jerry Weintraub
Director of the Year: Sean Penn
Break-trough Performance Award: Marion Cottillard
Rising Star Award: Emile Hirsh
Rising Star Award: Nikki Blonsky


Especially for my photographer friend here is a picture of the real Break-trough award winner. Her very credible transformation is amazing, but her performance as Edith Piaf is outstanding!
