2021 Queer Palm Selection

After a year of waiting, the Queer Palm, Cannes Film Festival LGBT+ award, is looking forward to celebrating its 10th anniversary next July on the Croisette. Created in 2010 by the French journalist Franck Finance-Madureira, the Queer Palm awards each year in Cannes a film dealing with LGBT+, queer or feminist themed movies among all the Cannes sections.

For this particular edition, the organizers have chosen to entrust the presidency of the jury to Nicolas Maury; the French actor, seen in the series Dix pour cent (Call My Agent) or in the films of Yann Gonzalez, made his directorial debut in 2020 with his film Garçon chiffon (My Best Part), nominated for a César in First Feature Film category and which will be distributed this year in the United States. The other jury members are Aloïse Sauvage, Roxane Mesquida, Josza Anjembe and Vahram Muratyan.

This edition has a graphic identity designed by jury member Vahram Muratyan. There are seventeen (17) feature films and nine (9) short films in competition for this year awards.
