2026 The Actors Awards

Yesterday, January 7, nominees for Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA honoring outstanding individual, cast and ensemble performances for the past year were announced by Janelle James and Connor Storrie via Netflix’s YouTube channel.

The nominees for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles were announced by Actor Awards Committee Members Jason George and Elizabeth McLaughlin. SAG-AFTRA President, Sean Astin, kicked off the livestream with opening remarks.

This is the new name for what was known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards and this is the 32nd edition of these awards that honor actors and more people who entertain and inform audiences around the world.

The Actors Awards is the only televised awards ceremony that exclusively honors actors in TV and film and nominations in 6 film -and 8 TV categories- are voted by the largest guild of all that vote for the Oscars as has more than 160,000 members; so, the nominations and winners tend to foresee possible Oscar nominations and winners in acting categories.

One Battle After Another cast leads the pack with seven (7) nominations and is a milestone record for the awards history. There are some unexpected nominations like Kate Hudson and Jesse Plemons but what is making loud noise are the snubs like the cast of Sentimental Value, Cynthia Erivo, Wagner Moura, Dwayne Johnson, Adam Sandler and what some outline in black: "all foreign-language movies and performances were shut out of the 2026 race" which sends a message many are still wondering what means for Oscars nominations.

As previously announced, Harrison Ford is the 61st recipient of the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award that honors his career and humanitarian accomplishments.

The 32nd Annual Actor Awards ceremony will stream live globally on Netflix Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hallin Los Angeles.
