81st Academy Awards News

Last week the Academy released some news that I feel like sharing with you all.

Perhaps the most puzzling news is that Hugh Jackman will host the 81st Awards that according to show’s producer Laurence Mark is a signal that “we are trying to turn a corner and to give the evening more of a nightclub-party fell – which it once had”. Well, let’s see if the show becomes entertaining, but I’m sure that some of us will be enough excited just to learn the winners in some categories that could be very competitive.

Yesterday the Academy announced the 15 films running for Visual Effects Oscar if you feel like reading the list go here.

On other news Jerry Lewis will receive the Hershold Humanitarian Award.
