26th Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival – Outfest 2008

Some of you may wonder why lately there are so many LGBT festivals -even when many that read this blog do not- so I’m going to tell you. Is June/July and is the Pride season that is celebrated allover the world, probably including where you live. Anyway this fest will run from July 9 to 21 and here is some basic information.

The festival boasts 116 separate public programs – 8 galas, 65 features, 12 short film programs, 16 panels and special events, 8 platinum programs and a 2-day music festival, Boom!

On Wednesday July 9, Outfest honors Donna Deitch (remember Desert Hearts?!) with the 12th Annual Outfest Achievement Award preceding the Opening Night Gala film Breakfast with Scot.
