33rd César Awards Winners

Tonight the award ceremony was telecasted exclusively by Canal+, so there was no international telecast and I wasn’t able to see it. However, here are the winners.

Best Film: La Graine et le Mulet (Abdellatif Kechiche)
Best Director: Abdellatif Kechiche (La Graine et le Mulet)
Best Actor: Mathieu Amalric for Le Scaphandre et le Papillon
Best Actress: Marion Cotillard for La Môme
Best Female Newcomer: Hafsia Herzi (La Graine et le Mulet)
Best First Film: Persépolis (Xavier Rigault, Marc-Antoine Robert, Vincent Paronnaud, Marjane Satrapi)
Best Foreign Film: La Vie des Autres (Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck)

Well there are some surprises but I knew that La Graine et le Mulet -that I haven’t seen yet- is a very good movie. It was impossible that Marion Cotillard didn’t win and of course she did. I know that my favorite Romanian movie didn’t win but against The Lives of Others it was hard as this movie is also extremely good. Still La Môme got many awards, as well as some for Persépolis and Le Scaphandre et le Papillon.
