Flawless

Premiered at the 2007 San Sebastian Film Festival this Michael Radford movie is quite attention grabber that will keep you very interested in this sort of thriller about a diamond heist, where an about to retire janitor (Michael Caine) convinces an American executive (Demi Moore) to help him steal their employer, the London Diamond Corporation.

Set in 1960 London this movie shows that Demi Moore with good material can give quite a good performance and you will empathize with her character confusion. Perhaps there are some moments where she’s not that good, but she carries the movie well as she is in every scene of the film. The story is based loosely in a real heist and perhaps that’s why is really interesting to watch, besides the fact that there is no special effects so everything seems possible and real, well at least for the 60’s.

This is good and smart entertainment suited for all audiences that like a good “how they did it” movie with enough tension and a close to real life feel.

Enjoy!
