Best New Director: Eran Kolirin for Bikur Hatizmoret (The Band’s Visit), Israel and France, 2007

Youth Council Award: XXY, Lucia Puenzo, Argentina, Spain and France, 2007
Special Mention: Mogari no Mori, Naomi Kawase, France and Japan, 2007

FIPESCI Award: Le Voyage du Ballon Rouge (The Flight of the Red Balloon), Hou Hsiao Hsien, France and Taiwan, 2007

Silver Spike for Lifetime Achievement: Sophia Loren

Worthy to mention that in this festival there was a screening of Finn’s Girl by Laurie Colvert and Dominique Cardona, Canada, 2007, so the film is in the festival circuit.
