Chak de! India

To my eyes this is a very different Bollywood movie, for starters there are no dances or songs and well, the story was too predictable, cinematography was less spectacular, feels very long and for the sports theme, well maybe I have seen too many American movies with the theme and this one seemed not as exciting as the ones from Hollywood.

Still is very easy to watch and with the female cast ensemble is just very fun to see, with some cute girls and some good characters like the bad girl that I just loved her, even if I would have kicked her out of the team since she started to do her thing, lol!

The movie is loosely based on the life of former Indian hockey goalkeeper Mir Ranjan Negi, who fell from grace after conceding goals in a famous against Pakistan game but made a resounding comeback by coaching the 2002 Commonwealth Games gold winning women’s team; and actually, that’s the story the movie tells.

Starring Shahrukh Khan with an acceptable performance and all the girls that I feel do perform better than him.

Well, according to me, the movie is not up to Bollywood standards, but is entertaining, so if you feel like seeing a female sports movie, you could give it a try.
