Last Chance Harvey

Not exactly what I was hoping for an Emma Thompson movie, but her performance makes this movie more than worth it. Actually this is a sweet and refreshing story about the last chance to love when you reach that age where you definitively feel better being alone with yourself… rather than experiencing with new relationships that you believe eventually will bring pain to your peaceful and lonely existence.

The movie was too slow for me (and remember that I tend to like slow-paced movies) and it wasn’t until both characters meet that became more interesting obviously because Emma Thompson started to do her thing and her screen presence definitively is a strong one, at least stronger than loser Dustin Hoffman character.

Still I know that is a must be seen movie for Thompson’s fans as her Golden Globe nominated role is nice to watch.

Enjoy.

  1. LOL!! if you thought this was slow, I will probably fall asleep! you have more patience with slow movies than I do. Maybe I will start watching later in the movie and skip the slow part. Love Emma.. I will have to give it a try.. :)

  2. I was thinking about you... yes, it's very slow perhaps because both characters are really loosers and they have to show it, so we know. It was kind of pathetic to watch, but as soon as they really meet, things get better... lol!
