The first major awards of the season are in and some winners probably means nominations for 2009 BAFTA’s. Even if I haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire have to say that was a surprise that won as my favorite was Hunger. Also Waltz With Bashir winning was surprising when competing with extremely good movies, but I imagine that the movie has to be very powerful; hope I’m able to see it soon.
Slumdog Millionaire was awesome! I hope it gets an Oscar.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to be able to watch Slumdog Millionaire as not only has nominations in many of this season awards, but been reading about it a lot and yes, fits the profile of movies I do like.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if gets an Oscar nomination in any category... but I have to see it first to be able to think if gets one for Best Picture... lol! Then, there are so many good 2008 movies that this year the Best Picture category has to be interesting! :)
