Update August 20: The official site still has no information and as you know I prefer the official site to list the movies. But if today you need to check the movies I found a site that has the list for all programs and is here.Finally today (I’ve been checking everyday!) the fest announced his complete lineup and here it is… oops! I cannot list anything because the site is experiencing “technical difficulties”, yeah probably they haven’t upload the complete info… they should know that the information should be in their official site before the press announcement (this is a golden Marketing and PR rule that you break only with a risky purpose: to create expectation, but must of the time backfires in a negative way). Well, they have a brief press release with not much information about the movies or anything else.
The only interesting part of the press release is the following information.
This year the fest presents 249 feature-length films with 116 world premiers and 61 are directorial debuts.

Think that I just wanted to share my frustration with you all… but, I’ll post some of the movies as soon as they have them in the official site that’s here.
Hi. I've read the press release already and having seen the number of movies I was all like "Oh my, this event is going to be seriously huge." I work as a Toronto realtor and besides my everyday tasks I also put emphasis on promoting Toronto movies. In my opinion, it's essential to keep the cultural condition (as well as other of course) of the city on a high level. It's one of the basic human needs to entertain ourselves and this could be done with movie festivals similar to this one, open-air screenings, cinema discounts and much more. ReplyDeleteYes TIFF has always been huge with many feature films, shorts and documentaries, and this year for the first time, with open to the public parties. So I hope you that if you find some time to spare, you can attend some of the screenings and/or the events. I've never been to this festival, but I have been to Montreal fest, when I was living there; so, I know that could be an interesting experience. Checked your site and if I ever return to Canada and decide to live in Toronto, be sure that I'll use your realtor services. Thanks for visiting the blog. :)
