16th Artfilm International Film Festival Award Winners

Yesterday this fest had the closing ceremony and here are the award winners.

Blue Angel Award for Best Feature (tie)

Wolfsbergen, Nanouk Leopold, Belgium and The Netherlands, 2007

Eastern Panorama Award for Best Central or Eastern European Film: Jas sum od (I Am From Titov Veles), Teona Strugar Mitevska, Macedonia, Slovenia, Belgium and France, 2007

Young and Critical Award: Kvet vo vrecku (Flower in the Pocket), Liew Seng Tat, Malaysia, 2007

Mayor of the Town of Trenčín’s award: Tesko je biti fin (It’s Hard to be Nice), Srdjan Vuletić, UK, Slovenia, Serbia, Germany and Bosnia-Herzegovina, 2007

Golden Camera: Italian screenwriter Tonino Guerra, Czech cinematographer Miroslav Ondříček, and Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi.

The Artfilm main jury was headed by none other than Romanian director Christian Mungiu.
