10th British Independent Film Awards Winners

Last night they had the award ceremony and here are the winners.

Best British Independent Film: Control
Best Actress: Judi Dench, Notes on a Scandal
Best Actor: Viggo Mortensen, Eastern Promises
Best Supporting Actor or Actress: Toby Kebbell, Control
Most Promising Newcomer: Sam Riley, Control
Best Screenplay: Patrick Marber, Notes on a Scandal
Best Director: Anton Corbijn, Control
Best Achievement in Production: Black Gold
The Douglas Hickox Award for Best Debut Director: Anton Corbijn, Control
Best Foreign Independent Film: The Lives of Others
The Raindance Award: The Inheritance
Special Jury Prize: Andi Engel, Pamela Engel and Robert Beeson for Artificial Eye

The big winner is Control with five awards and in my opinion truly deserves these honors.
