Is there a possibility that Mr. O´Toole receives the oscar instead of Mr. Whitaker ? so they say...

  2. Well, everything is possible!!! If O'Toole does not win, it will be the male most nominated and no win! Besides, because his age, could be his last chance, so maybe they become sentimental and give him the Oscar.

About the sentiment, they say that Ms Elizabeth Taylor got her first oscar for Butterfield 8, mainly because her health condition was weak after a throat operation. The others nominees were Melina Mercouri in Never on Sunday (absolute fabulous!) Shirley MacLaine in the Apartment, Deborah Kerr in the Sundowners and Greer Garson in Sunrise at Campobello

So, there are chances for Mr O´toole.

  4. After watching Venus, I believe that even if Peter O'Toole gets a "sentimental" or "emotional" vote is well deserved!!! He is just great, but Forest Whitaker also is great... Just saw Peter O'Toole at the Oscars lunch yesterday. That probably means that he will be there for the show, so the race might be more interesting that it seem before watching Venus. The winners are us, as we will enjoy the show more.
